The roadside assistance services available to UK Fuels customers are provided by The Automobile Association Limited. By applying for breakdown cover, the applicant/organisation named on the 'Application And Vehicle Registration Schedule' form for 'UK Fuels Roadside Assistance In Association With The AA' agrees to comply with such terms and conditions. To assist UK Fuels customers certain key terms pertaining to their cover are set out below.

General Terms applicable to UK Fuels customers

1.
In the following, The Automobile Association Limited is referred to as "the AA".
2.
The AA reserves the right to amend the said terms and conditions at any time. In addition, please note that some services may be subject to additional restrictions with reference to the age and personal circumstances of the driver of the relevant vehicle, for example the provision of a Replacement Vehicle under Relay Plus will be subject to the replacement vehicle suppliers' own terms and conditions.
3.
Service entitlement is validated by vehicle registration number.
4.
Customers are required to supply the registration numbers of all vehicles to be covered at the point of joining and on renewal and to keep UK Fuels updated in regard to any required changes (e.g. substitutions, additions) during the currency of their cover. Where service is requested and the vehicle has not been registered for cover, Service Control terms will apply.
5.
The AA will only provide service to vehicles which have been registered by UK Fuels for and on behalf of their customers.
6.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all vehicles which are or are to be covered are eligible for the cover applied for.
7.
Without prejudice to its rights under the Service Control terms set out below, UK Fuels reserves the right to increase rates at any time during the period of UK Fuels Roadside Assistance cover to take into account any introduction of, or increase in, any duty, levy, or tax including, without limitation, Value Added Tax and Insurance Premium Tax) which becomes chargeable on any such rates during such period.
8.
Home Start is only available at or within a quarter of a mile of the driver's home address. Relay and Relay Plus are not available in Home Start situations.
9.
Any waiver by the AA of the terms and conditions applying for insured breakdown cover (including any delay or failure in enforcement) shall not prevent the AA from subsequently requiring compliance in regard to or enforcing any future right or obligation.

Particular Terms for UK Fuels Roadside Assistance cover
10.
In order to monitor fleet customers' use of our breakdown service, UK Fuels use a simple calculation. For any fleet, one breakdown per year for each of the vehicles covered would represent a usage rate of 100%, i.e. a fleet with 5 vehicles, which has 5 breakdowns within one year has a 100% usage rate.
11.
Should a customers' usage rate exceed 100% UK fuels reserves the right to apply the 'pay for use' terms or cancel either individual or fleetwide cover without refund.
12.
The UK Fuels Roadside Assistance is only available in regard to vehicles falling within the following limits: a maximum gross vehicle weight of 3500kg (3.5 tonnes); a maximum length of 5.5m (18 ft); a maximum width of 2.3m (7ft 6ins). A caravan or trailer which is capable of being towed safely will be towed, provided that the total length of the caravan/trailer does not exceed a maximum length of 7.8m (26 ft). The AA on behalf of UK Fuels will seek to arrange, but the AA or UK Fuels will not pay for, the recovery of any vehicle, caravan or trailer that exceeds any of these limits.
13.
Should the UK Fuels “fuel card” be placed on stop, for any reason, the Roadside Assistance cover will automatically be cancelled without refund.
14.
Refunds on UK Fuels Roadside Assistance cover are not available on either an individual vehicle or fleet-wide basis. UK fuels reserves the right to apply the 'pay for use' terms or cancel either individual or fleetwide cover should excessive breakdowns be experienced, i.e. two break downs to the same fault (the second and subsequent breakdowns would incur the pay for use terms) or three breakdowns, for any reason, to a single vehicle in any 12 month period (the third and subsequent breakdowns would incur the pay for use terms).
15.
Vehicle registrations can only be altered on a once monthly basis. Notification of changes/additions must be received by the 20th of each month and will be effective from the 1st of the month following. Any notification of changes/additions received after the 20th will be deemed to have been received the month after i.e. changes/additions received on the 21st of July will be updated during August and will become effective from the 1st of September.
16.
Payment for the UK Fuels Roadside Assistance service will be made via your usual payment method and will appear on the same invoice as your fuel card transactions.
17. UK Fuels Roadside Assistance covers cars and light vans with the exception of the weight and length restrictions (referred to in point 12 above) and the following ‘Specialist Vehicles’: Taxi cabs, hire vehicles, ambulances, DPVs (Disabled Passenger Vehicles), police vehicles, vehicles on trade plates, minibuses, motorcycle and other courier vehicles.
18. With Relay Plus, please pay particular attention to the Relay Plus section in the full terms and conditions. Relay Plus is underwritten by Automobile Association Underwriting Services Limited, Millstream, Maidenhead Road, Windsor, SL4 5GD.
19. Service Requests to tyre punctures, tyre failures or incidents due to 'human error' i.e. keys locked in vehicle, run out of petrol etc are not breakdowns and as such are not covered. Whilst the AA will attend such Service Requests the 'pay for use' terms will be applied.
20. The pay for use terms are £70.00 + VAT per Service Request or breakdown, plus £1.50 per 'return recovered mile' should recovery (Relay) be required.
21. UK Fuels reserves the right to terminate fleet-wide cover, without refund, should any ‘pay for use’ terms be incurred and not settled in full.
22. UK Fuels reserves the right to vary or amend the Terms and Conditions of this agreement at any time.
